Faced with an extended period of disruption and the loss of a large amount of our display space due to the installation of an elevator in our building, CSW will be moving to a new Downtown Manhattan location in the near future. To facilitate our move, we are offering all red, white and rosé still wines in our regular inventory at 20% off the retail price. The following restrictions will apply;

Wines listed as non-discountable are not included in this sale, as well as all liquors and sparkling wines/champagnes.

A limited number of rare wines and most pre-arrival wines will discount only 10%.

The remaining wines, the vast majority of our inventory, will discount 20% from our shelf price with no additional case or quantity discount. LIMITED TO CURRENT INVENTORY IN STOCK ONLY. (Although we will attempt to keep many of our favorite everyday wines in stock throughout the sale.) No intermediate price changes have occurred.

We are sure that many of you will find many bottles to squirrel away, or that expensive Burgundy that was just out of your reach will definitely be within your reach. As with Bordeaux, Rhone, Alsace, Germany, California, Loire, SW France, Tuscany, Austria and many more. It starts this Friday August 1^st and continues through Saturday, August 9th.

We are known for our great collection of European wines that you really cannot find anywhere else, plus some niche specialties like Piedmont, dry German wine and Beaujolais, but one thing we are not known for is sales. We are proud of our pricing policy, which is fair and allows us to survive, modestly, in business, while paying our growers and suppliers promptly and providing each of our great employees with adequate wages and health insurance. We hope to receive your continued support in the years to come and we encourage your participation in our inventory reduction, which we expect will never happen again in our store's history.
