From a small parcel just below the Route Nationale in Volnay, 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Gamay, the vines are 40 to 50 years-old. Quite delicious and a fabulous value, this has supple raspberry and plum fruit and a lovely finish. A great intro to the elegant, old-fashioned Burgundies of the talented Fanny Sabre, who worked with Philippe Pacalet for many years but is blazing her own trail.
