Breton 2007 Bourgueil Nuits D'Ivresse From old vines on the clay/limestone upper slopes in Benais (Grandmont) and Restigné (Le Peu Muleu), it is fermented, aged and bottle without the use of sulfur dioxide, according to the winemaking principles of Jules Chauvet. In 2007 there is good acidity and balance with quite deep blackberry and strawberry fruit and a finish marked by the limestone terroir. Clos Roche Blanche 2007 Touraine Cot Vieilles Vignes An austere and elegant version of the CRB Cot that is built to last. Quite closed at first, on the second day there are lovely aromatics, reminiscent of Pineau d'Aunis, with hints of red currant, strawberry and white pepper. The palate is light but intense with darker red fruits and very good length. This should cellar well - or open the day before to enjoy now. Clos Roche Blanche 2008 Touraine Gamay (Syn Cork) The very low yields at Clos Roche Blanche in 2008 have given more concentration and complexity of fruit to the Gamay. Ripe aromas of plum and strawberry confit with floral notes. The palate is dense with ripe fruit , floral and earthy flavors, with good acidity to match. Quite luscious to drink now, it should also cellar well - how long?
