Although winter has not released it's grasp on the northeast, we can dream of summer with our favorite Rosés from Provence, made at these outstanding organic and Biodynamic certified estates. The Sulauze "Pomponette"  is the ultimate light, crisp and refreshing rosé for hot weather, but grab some now as this lovely wine will sell-out quickly this Spring. Mas de Gourgonnier, a beautiful organic estate in Les Baux produces a slightly fuller-bodied style of rosé that's versatile at the table and delicious as an aperitf all summer - and their olive oil is superb! (Visit their website for more information at gourgonnier.com) Our favorite Provençal estate is the Gros family's Domaine Les Fouques near Hyères. Their superb Biodynamic rosés are among the most complex and delicious in the world - especially the old-vine cuvée "La Londe." The 2014 is drinking beautiully now and is an outstanding value! (And if you're thinking of a vacation in Provence this summer, check out their "gites" at fouques-bio.com) (All wines arrive by Thursday 4/7)

For a trip to Provence while staying in Tribeca, visit Racines NY this coming Tuesday, when Chef Frédéric Duca (from Marseille) and Owner/Sommelier Arnaud Tronche (from Avignon) will offer an introduction to the cuisine and wines of Provence, featuring an elegant four-course dinner with wine-pairings chosen by M. Tronche. Tuesday April 12th at 7:00pm, $150 all-inclusive. (Tickets available in this email)

We have dozens of great natural rosés arriving over the next few weeks - stay tuned for our offering of the top wines of 2015, coming soon!

Sulauze 2015 Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence Pomponette Rosé

Karina and Guillaume Lefevre are a marriage of two warm climates and personalities: she's from Brazil, and he's from Marseille. Based in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, they cultivate nearly 30 ha of vines. Certified organic, they are also incorporating biodynamic practices into their vineyard work. This vintage's rosé is a blend of 60% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Vermentino, 15% Cinsault and 5% Mourvedre. All grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. With a pale pink robe, this wine entices with tart strawberry, dried cherry skin, dried orange peel and Provencal herb flavors. With a refreshingly mineral finish and racy acidity, this  rosé is bound to be a favorite for spring picnics or summer sipping poolside or oceanside. -Jonas Mendoza

Les Fouques 2014 Côtes de Provence La Londe Rosé

The 2014 Rosé La Lande is a beautiful wine and a real rosé of terroir! Made from 70% Cinsault and 10% each of Grenache, Syrah and Vermentino, the 2014 La Londe is a lovely pale pink color with subtle aromas of peach skin, raspberry and rose. The palate is light, balanced and long with red and yellow fruits, citrus, spice and saline mineral flavors. Drinking beautifully now, it will improve over the next year or two and accompany an elegant ceviche, fish or chicken, salads and mild cheeses. Great sipped by itself as well, really delicious and highly recommended! (July 2015) Tasted again in May of 2016, the 2014 La Londe is drinking beautifully in an extremely dry and mineral style, showing elegant hints of fruit and mineral flavors and fabulous depth on the palate that should continue to develop over the next two to three years.
