Prior to 1981, Rioja producers were not required to designate vintages for Reserva and Crianza bottlings. According to Maria Jose Lopez de Heredia, "5° Año" indicates that the wine had been aged for 5 years prior to bottling. Thus, as far as we can tell, this wine is from 1975 or earlier and may be a blend of vintages.
