The 2016 Monnier Perreol Saint-Joseph Blanc is from one/half hectare of Marsanne, about 35 year-old vines on granite and limestone/granite soils. There is lovely ripeness here with some exotic fruit, pear, citrus and stone aromas. The palate is ripe and supple but quite fresh, with dried fruits and mineral notes and enough structure for aging showing in the long finish. A very elegant wine of terroir, drink happily now and over the next ten to fifteen years.
