Halloween wines that are a lot better than candy corn! This time of year is traditionally when bad clickbait articles about pairing wine with Halloween candy flood the internet.I have to accept now that I've lost the pedantic battle in naming these wines. Turns out 'skin-macerated whites' was not a winner, and orange wine is here to stay.More than just a trend, though, it's a style with deep roots in ancient winemaking regions, and a lot of new playful experimentation as well. The sheer range of possibility is wider than red or white; we'll try to wrap our heads around what to expect, why winegrowers macerate, and why this pumpkin-colored style is perfect for the season.
