Finot, Thomas 2022 Coteaux Gresivaudan Etraire de la Dhuy

Étraire de la Dhuy is a rare grape from the Vallé du Grésivaudan in the Isère, with only about 6 hectares currently in production. The 2022 Finot Étraire de la Dhuy is from a parcel of 70 year-old massale selection vines, with some new plantation, AKA Étraire de l'Aduï. According to Wine Grapes "DNA parentage analysis suggests a parent-offspring relationship between Étraire de l'Aduï and Persan. Indeed, both varieties belong to the Sérine ampelographic group." Red/black color with bright rim, aromas of blackberry, boysenberrry, iron, violet and soil. The palate shows lush fruit in this generous vintage, of black and red berries, plum and citrus with a firm backing of earth, iodine and mineral flavors that continue in the finish.
